What You’ll Be Doing as the Payroll Specialist
- Process weekly payroll accurately across multiple jurisdictions by gathering and entering time sheets.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including handling new hires, adjustments, and terminations.
- Manage union agreements, ensuring accurate deductions, reporting, and rate adjustments.
- Oversee benefit administration, handling new enrollments, updates, and payment reports.
- Produce and reconcile YTD reports, including CPP, EI, WCB, and tax payments.
- Contribute to year-end activities, such as producing T4s and completing payroll reconciliations.
About You as the Payroll Specialist
- Proficient in multi-jurisdiction payroll processing and familiar with union payroll agreements.
- Highly detail oriented and accurate.
- Skilled in maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in payroll and benefits administration.
- Experience with year-end payroll reconciliation and statutory filings.
- Able to multitask efficiently, handling payroll, accounts payable, and general administrative tasks.
- Knowledgeable in handling company benefits administration and related reporting.
