Controller / Operational Finance Lead

What You’ll Be Doing as the Controller

• Own full-cycle accounting and remain actively involved in day-to-day operations
• Deliver timely financial reporting and actionable insights to ownership
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Drive job costing, inventory tracking, and profitability analysis
• Strengthen processes, controls, and financial reporting accuracy
• Manage tax filings, audits, and external relationships
• Hire and mentor an accounting support resource to assist with daily processing

About You as the Controller

• Proven ability to operate as a hands-on finance leader in a standalone environment
• Strong experience in project-based or operationally complex industries
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks with full-cycle ownership
• Ability to translate detailed financial data into clear, practical insights
• Naturally proactive with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
• This organization is not on a bus route – reliable transportation is required
