What You’ll Be Doing as the Assistant Controller

• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, variance analysis and internal reporting
• Oversee Accounts Payable operations and support staff development
• Analyze inventory, work-in-progress, margins and costs
• Support budgeting, year-end, audits and credit administration
• Recommend and implement process and system improvements
• Partner with Sales, Purchasing and Inventory teams

About You as the Assistant Controller

• Nearly or newly designated Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
• High-volume Accounts Payable oversight experience
• Experience supervising or developing accounting staff
• Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems
• Curious, analytical approach with a continuous-improvement mindset
• Reliable transportation is required for this in-office, east-of-the-city location
