What You’ll Be Doing as the Assistant Controller

• Lead accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual closes
• Oversee general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll and fixed assets
• Review reconciliations and reports, investigating errors and unusual activity
• Prepare financial statements, cash-flow forecasts and management reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits and variance analysis
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures and ERP data integrity
• Manage sales-tax compliance and duty-recovery submissions
• Supervise the accounting team while independently driving priorities forward

About You as the Assistant Controller

• CPA designation completed or in progress
• Exceptional attention to detail and a questioning, investigative mindset
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and deliver results
• Experience with ERP systems and QuickBooks
• A combination of industry and public-practice experience is an asset
