Accounting Specialist / Junior Accountant

A well-established high-tech manufacturing company with international operations is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support their Accounts Payable (AP) and month-end functions. This role will be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy, vendor compliance, and smooth AP operations across their global divisions.

• Accounts Payable Management: Process vendor invoices, verify financial data, and ensure vendors are paid promptly.
• Financial Compliance: Maintain accurate financial records for auditing, tax purposes, and corporate compliance.
• Month-End Responsibilities: Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and financial reports for senior leadership.
• Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors and buyers to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth transactions.
• Tax Remittances: Manage GST and PST remittances accurately.
   

• Have a Business Diploma or Post-Secondary Education in Accounting plus three years of general accounting experience, ideally in accounts payable.
• Bring strong technological skills in Excel and SAP experience is a bonus.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Are someone with curiosity and ambition, willing to question and improve processes while demonstrating the capacity to problem-solve on the job.
